Guestbook

  1. Jim was a member of our church and a great friend. He will be missed by all. Our sincere sympathy to his family. Jim was a fine man and, as the pastor said on Sunday, “His faith has now become sight”

  2. Jim was such a sweet friend of ours that we dearly loved. He was such an inspiration, full of laughter, and stories. Most of all, he loved the Lord and he will be sadly missed but we know we will see him again. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  3. Jim was a bright light in this dark world and he shone brightest when he was talking about Jesus. Jim’s amazing smile was as constant as the sunrise and it was an honor and pleasure to know him for these last three years. God has blessed all of us indeed with Jim!

  4. Jim was a friend, classmate & neighbor on Brush Creek Road. He was liked by all students and faculty at Fairview & A.C. Reynolds. He was also a great athlete and an all-around good person. He will be missed at any future reunions. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

  5. *WE ARE SO SAD TO HEAR THAT OUR GREAT FRIEND, MENTOR, & NEIGHBOR, JAMES “JIM” LEE HENDRIX, HAS PASSED AWAY. HE SERVED OUR COUNTRY FOR YEARS IN THE NAVY & WAS ON THE FIRST FOOTBALL TEAM AT A.C. REYNOLD’S HIGH SCHOOL! HE WAS LIKE A SECOND DAD TO ME, MY BROTHER, & A LOT OF KIDS IN
THE NEIGHBORHOOD. HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO PLAY CHESS WHEN I WAS 15 YEARS OLD. BEEN THERE FOR MY FAMILY THROUGH THE YEARS ESPECIALLY WHEN MY DAD PASSED IN 2003. HIM & DAD ALWAYS KIDDED EACH OTHER ON WHO WOULD GET TO HEAVEN FIRST OR HOW STUBBORN THE OTHER WAS. SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES & ADVICE GIVEN TO US BY HIM. HE LOVED THE LORD, HIS FAMILY, & FRIENDS SO MUCH. WE WILL BE PRAYING FOR THE FAMILY & HE WILL BE MISSED DEARLY! 🙏💔 #RIHJIM 😇#GONEWAY2SOON 😭😟

  6. Mr Jim was my friend but most of all he was a friend and fisherman of Jesus Christ . I will truly miss our Bible discussions but most of all his great big smile and our laughing together. Enjoy heaven see you there.

  7. I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I have so many memories of us as we made our way through life in Fairview Community, Fairview School and then Reynolds. Though life left us in different geographical locations, I thought of Jim so many times over the years. The couple of times I got to talk and reminisce with him at Reynolds reunions are priceless and will always be a part of my pleasant memories. Go in peace, good friend.

  8. Jim was my neighbor for the past 11 yrs. He always had a smile on his face and a testimony of about the Lord. He was gracious, gentlemanly, and considerate. I will really miss him.

  9. Jim…there are soooo many words to say…you were such a constant for me and my family…we shared soooo much… memories of you being a part of our family Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings, helping me and my mom with tasks around the house always lending your expertise and advice, you being at most of our cookouts, being the proud grandfather figure of all the kids with prom pics, birthdays, etc., Helping me rebuild my dad’s homemade picnic table..what a day that was, being a best friend to my mom after my dad passed sitting in the garage taking for hours while I mowed both their yards, the list goes on and on, but you were Family to us and always will be..We love you and will miss you daily!!! Peace my sweet friend and see you again one day at the pearly gates…Donna
