JAMES L. ROBINSON J.L. Robinson, 57, of 453 Reeves Cove Road, Candler, died Thursday, March 26, 2009. Mr. Robinson was born in Bethesda, MD, and was a son of Peggy Fisher Robinson of Candler and the late Leonard Charles Robinson. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and he was a member of New Morgan Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Patricia Worley of Marion and Gayle King of Hollywood, MD, and three brothers, Randy A. Robinson of Candler, Dale Robinson of Candler, and Gary Robinson of Asheville. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church, after which a memorial service will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmy Vestal officiating. Military graveside honors will be provided by the Buncombe County Veterans Council at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the NC State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain. Memorials may be made to "The Vets Place", ABCCM, 1329 E. Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with the arrangements.

  2. James was a good friend in school as well as after.I always enjoyed seeing him at K Mart,and around town.I lost contact with him in these last few years,and I wish someone could inform me as to how he died.Many thanks and God Bless his family.

  3. I WORKED WITH JL AT KMART ON TUNNEL ROAD FOR MANY YEARS…I WAS USUALLY HIS CLOSING DEPT MGR OR SERVICE DESK PERSON…SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. MAY GOD GIVE EACH OF YOU COMFORT DURING THIS TIME….
