James Roger Robinson
June 6, 1923 ~ November 13, 2000

Mr. Robinson was born in Canton and was a son of the late Joseph Albertis and Lena Gaddy Robinson. He was an Army veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from Gerber Products Co. after 28 years of service and he was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Inis Roberts Robinson; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Harley Harwood of Asheville; two grandchildren, Leah Harwood and Jeremiah Harwood; three sisters, one brother, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Kyle Shipman officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 16, Asheville, NC 28802.
