Jamie Elizabeth Myers

Jamie Elizabeth Caldwell Myers, 76, of Asheville, died on Monday, August 27, 2007, at Memorial Campus Mission Hospitals. Mrs. Myers was born in Buncombe Co. and was the daughter of the late Willard Stephen Caldwell and Decie McHone Caldwell. She was preceded in death by her sons, Bill and Warren Randall; brothers, Charles, Bob and Steve Caldwell; and brother-in-law, Albert McHone. Mrs. Myers worked at American Enka for 17 years, and then later retired from Memorial Campus Mission Hospitals at age 70 after 15 years of working in the housekeeping department. Mrs. Myers is survived by her daughter, Decie Sherlin and husband Walter, of Asheville; sons, Sam Randall and wife Dena, of Candler, and Ron Randall and wife Cindi, of Weaverville; sisters, Pat Clontz and husband Paul, of Asheville, and Willie Clara McHone, of Asheville; and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 5:00 p.m. Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Almiller officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Sam Randall, at 144 Oak Hill Rd., Candler.
