  1. I know this is a difficult time for your family and I hope during a quiet moment you find solace in the reassurance that is found in the bible at Rev 21:4 it says ‘And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more… The former things have passed away.’

  2. Dear ones. So sorry and sad to hear that Janet has passed away. I have known her for many years. I studied piano for many years, and bought flowers from her mother’s flower shop. May The Lord bless and keep each if you .

  3. Janet had a great heart and a very special talent. I am sure she is playing for some special people as I wirte. I was blessed to talk with her on the night before she passed. I feel feel bleased for that.

  4. We at Old Fort Presbyterian Church will miss Janet immeasurably. She was a very talented organist who blessed us with her beautiful music for many years . We often told her that we couldn’t imagine our worship services without her. I talked with her many many times and she was hopeful that she would be well and get to continue playing.May God Bless those that she leaves behind. With love, Mary Lee Lytle and Janet’s small Church family here

  5. Ms. Golf was my music teacher in elementary school in Old Fort She was great and passionate with all of her students. She stll remembered me years later and met my daughter. My GOD give you peace and comfort in your time of need. May GOD bless

  6. I knew Janet when we both lived in Asheville back in the 1960’s. She was a very talented person and I know her church will miss her playing as well as her sweet smile.

  7. I was so shocked to see where Janet had passed away. We have known each other since 8th grade, graduated together. She was a dear friend. I loved to hear her play the piano and organ. That was her life. Just saw this yesterday, sorry I could not make it to the service. A couple of friends that knew her also, and myself had a chance to see her last fall. We lost touch over the years but she was so happy to see us. She always had such a sweet smile. May God bless the family during this difficult time.

  8. I was sorry to hear that Janet passed away. We were 2nd cousins and have kept in touch throughout the years. I know the Lord welcomed her with open arms. She will be missed. Thank you, Cheryl, for being such a good friend to Janet. As a family member, I really appreciate it.

  9. I was so surprised to read in the paper today of Jane Goff’s death. We worked together in the McDowell County schools, and she taught music to my students. She was a gifted accompanist. She had a kind heart.

  10. I kept up to date w Janet when she was first hospitalized and for several weeks after. I was told she was home and doing better. I saw her in passing in Old Fort early this month and was so happy to see her out and about. I learned of her passing only today. It is very sad news. She visited my dad’s church and sang and played for us many yrs ago. She taught my children ‘music’ in school. What a precious person. Heaven is Richer, but so many will miss her. God Bless all.

  11. I just learned of Ms. Goff’s passing. She was my music teacher in elementary school, and also taught my sister piano lessons. I would think of her often as I would drive by her old home site in Old Fort. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family. She was a sweet lady!
