Janie "Sue" Reemes Surrett, 69, of Leicester, died Monday, February 22, 2016.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Willie "Bud" and Geneva King Reemes. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Pattie Surrett, and her son, Greg Surrett.
Surviving are her husband, Ted Surrett; son, Chad Surrett and wife Lora; grandchildren, Nicole, Justin, Jonathon, and Jesse; sister, Ruth Reemes; and brother, Robert Reemes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, with the Revs. Bill Brown and Gene Turner officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sue took care of my elderly mother, Jean Bridges, in 2013. She was such a kind and caring lady and will be greatly missed. I never worried about my mom when Sue was with her.
