I work for Cooperative Extension and Jean was active with the Extension Homemakers organization for many years. She was always smiling and everyone enjoyed her being around. Even when she called on the phone she made me happy with her wonderful personality. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to know Jean. I will miss her. My deepest sympathy to all the family. 12. Mrs Shorter holds a special place in my heart. She will be remembered as a kind lady with a big smile and infectious laugh. I was a teenager when I began going to SBBC. She was the ‘mother hen’ who made feel right at home. She was always looking out for all the kids, treating them as good as her own grandchildren. When I graduated from High School in 1991, she came to my house bearing gifts. She brought me towels for college and a big plastic tool box that held the basics (screwdrivers, hammer, etc.) I am almost 30 and I still use the infamous tool box. One of the best gifts I have ever received. Mrs. Shorter wanted to make sure I was equiped to start my life away from home. She had the best sense of humor and a smile that will light up heaven.

  13. Please accept my condolences for the passing of Jean. I know Jean is shouting in Heaven today and for eternity. She will be missed by so many people. She was a lady that was truly loved by many, I know because I am one of them that loved her and will miss her so much. She let her love for her family and Christ shine through everything she did.
