Jean Hensley Barnwell

Arden ~ Jean Hensley Barnwell, 87, of Arden died on Friday, December 15, 2006 in a local health care facility. She was born in McDowell County and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Withrow Hensley. She retired from American Enka after 35 years of service and was a member of Long Shoals Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy F. Glover of Etowah; two grandsons, David Riddle of Arden, Brian Riddle of Tampa, FL and a granddaughter, Shalon Glover of Hendersonville. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard with Rev. Roger Reardon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road is in charge of arrangements.
