Jean Mitchell Freeman

Jean Mitchell Freeman, 78, of 485 Hooker's Gap Rd., Candler, died Monday, March 13, 2000 at Hospice Solace Center. A native of Columbus, OH, she and her husband Don were also former residents of Rockville, MD. She was the daughter of the late William Mitchell, who was formally a Methodist Minister and his wife Nora Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. She was a member of Snow Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Don Freeman; a daughter, Diane Hope Freeman of Frederick, MD; three sons, William Lloyd Freeman and Robert Keith Freeman both of Frederick, MD, Donald Andrew Freeman of Damascus, MD; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Betty Baggs of Gainsville, FL, Mary Cooksen of Roslyn, PA, and a brother, Taylor Mitchell of Harlingen, TX. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Snow Hill United Methodist Church with Revs. Neil Haynes and Tom Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue is in charge of arrangements.
