Arden – Jean Paton Logan, 84, beloved Mother and Nana, passed away Friday, May 6, 2005, at Becky’s Rest Home.
A native of Dalry, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late David and Jeannie McLenachen Walker.
She was a resident of Madison, N.J. for many years until the death of her husband, James Fraser Logan in 1995, when she came to Arden to be with her daughter Janice, who was her loving care giver for seven years. During this time she attended Mountain Care, to whom the family would like to express their gratitude.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice L. Spain, her husband, Maurice, of Arden and their children Mickey, Julie and Kate and Carol L. Jackson, her husband Timothy, of Randolph, Vt. and their children Gillian, Tristan and Emma. She also is survived by two sisters, Sadie Bradley of Toronto, Canada and Nina Young of Kilmarnock, Scotland and one brother, Stuart Walker of Madison, N.J.
Her family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of Becky’s Rest Home for their loving care while she was a resident there.

NANA YOU ARE MY BEST PAL AND I LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU’LL EVER KNOW. I’M GLAD THAT YOU CAN BE WITH POPPY NOW. GIVE HIM MY LOVE. I MISS YOU BOTH TERRIBLY BUT IT MAKES ME HAPPY TO KNOW THAT YOU GUYS ARE TOGETHER AGAIN. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS.
What a lovely lady! Jean will be missed at Becky’s Rest Home. She was always upbeat and ready for a good laugh.She always thanked us for everything.I won’t know what to do without her being there and asking for a ‘piece of candy’. God Bless you all!
