Jeanette Brevard

jeanette brevard
Jeanette Baldwin Brevard, 93, of Arden, went home to be with The Lord, October 4th 2013 from the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center following a brief illness. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late David and Mamie Wilkie Baldwin. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. D. K. Brevard who died in 2009. Jeanette served The Lord for many years as a loving Pastor's wife, Sunday School Teacher, WMU Leader, and enjoyed lots of trips to the Southern Baptist Convention. Her career outside the home was C.P. Clare where she made numerous friends and retired after many years of dedicated employment. She is survived by her three sons and was blessed by two daughters by marriage, Richard and wife Nellie of Fletcher, Ron of Arden, Randy and Patricia of Harrisonburg Va. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Ronda McNeill, her husband Chad and son Ian of El Paso TX; Lisa Orr, her husband Chris and their children Emily and Zachary of Arden; Renee Mercado, her husband Daniel and their children Rebekah, Eli, and Sarah of Goodyear AZ; Dale Brevard of Charlotte; Chris Brevard and wife Jessi of Floyd VA; Kenny Brevard and wife Andrea and their son Charlie of Richmond VA and Scott Brevard of Athens GA. Jeanette was the last surviving member of her siblings, and has many wonderful cousins on both the Wilkie and Baldwin side. She is looking forward to the Great Reunion someday. The family would like to publically express their sincere gratitude to Mrs. Betty Coley of Mountain Home Health Care for her dedicated service. The family graciously asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to CarePartners Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813 or to the building fund at Skyland First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5th at Groce Chapel, Long Shoals Road Skyland from 6 to 8 pm. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Skyland First Baptist Church on Sunday October 6th with Pastor David Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park.

  7. Richard & Nellie, Ronnie and Randy,
I am so sorry to learn of Jeanette’s passing. It has been a long time since we saw any of you, but my late husband, Kirk, and I had a special place in our hearts for Darrell & Jeanette .. especially since Darrell performed our wedding ceremony 45 years ago! May God be with all of you as you grieve the loss of your precious Mother.

  8. Dear family~

Jeanette believed she had the best family on earth! She loved each and everyone of you so much and cherished the closeness you shared.

Separated only by a small grove of trees, I was richly blessed to live next door for nearly thirty years. Her heart and home never knew a stranger! Neighbor, friend, or family~we found love, joy, peace, understanding~ and complete acceptance. No one has ever held my heart so tenderly.

Rest well in the arms of Jesus, my friend. I will always love you!
    Beverly

Your mother was a Godly person and an Angel to those she met. She lead by example and the Lord shined upon her path. I will cherish the time spent with her and sharing her childhood stories about our family. She loved unconditionally and I am proud of my Great Aunt. Heaven has received a Blessing with her presence. May she have a joyous reunion in the care of OUR LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST
