Jeanne S. Hensley

Jeanne S. Hensley, 81, of Dunwoody, GA, died September 3, 2009. Mrs. Hensley was active in the Dunwoody community where she has lived for 50 years. She was a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church in Asheville, NC and was previously employed with the Bank of Asheville, NC, the Buncombe Board of Education and World Book. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Wayne Hensley of Dunwoody, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda & Jim Dellas of Atlanta, GA, Nancy & Steve Pierotti of Denver, CO, and Sharon Cahill of Houston, TX; son, Jimmy Hensley, Jr. of Dunwoody, GA; sister-in-law, Wynelle Carpenter and her husband, Dr. Max Carpenter of Asheville, and their children, Laura Sharpe and Pam Nicholson; and eight grandchildren, Michal Dellas Whitlock, Allison Pierotti, Jonathan Pierotti, Isaiah Pierotti, Timothy Pierotti, Sabrina Pierotti, Joshua Cahill, and Jacob Cahill. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 7th, in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with burial to follow at Green Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity in Jeanne’s honor.
