Hendersonville ~ Jeannette June Stines Cawthorn, 63, of Berna Knoll Court, died on Friday, August 19, 2005 in Margaret Pardee Hospital. Mrs. Cawthorn was the daughter of Pauline Rebecca Earwood of Fletcher and the late Wres E. Stines. She was a member of the Living Waters Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 34 years, James L. Cawthorn of Hendersonville; daughter, Kathy Cowan of Hendersonville; son , Keith Cawthorn and wife Stacy of Hendersonville; three grandchildren, Joe Cowan, Katie Cawthorn and Joshua Cawthorn; two sisters, Marjorie Allen of Fairview and Wilma Allison of TN; a brother, Bill Stines of CA. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.

    Nan was such an awesome person. I can remember how she would go out of her way to help so many. She really loved you. I can remember her going to Caswell on our youth trip. If it wasn’t for her, the Wednesday night suppers might not have been started. She was a blessing. Joe, know that her memory will continue to be a blessing to others for many years and that she has instilled in you the same. As always you know you can call if you need anything. We love you.

  8. I met Jeannette while caring for her mother, Pauline Stines. I do not know if you all will remember me or not…but I was always so touched by Jeannette’s sweet spirit and giving nature…I am sorry for your loss and I will miss her
