Jeff J. Wardrup, Jr.

Jeff J. Wardrup, Jr., 67, of Mills River, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014. A native of Madison Co., he was a son of the late Jeff Wardrup, Sr., and Leona West Wardrup. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Tate Wardrup, and a grandson, Griffin Anglin. Mr. Wardrup was a retired Sr. Master Sgt. with the U.S. Air Force, having served 27 years. He is survived by daughters Stephanie Wardrup, Wendy Bruce, and Rebecca Anglin; son Jeffrey Robert Wardrup; grandchildren Brittany, Daniel, Stephen, Keavi, Gavin, Anah, Jacob, Hayden, and Lilly; great-grandchildren Ariana and Lucus; and a sister, Julia Dipanti. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Western Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
