Jeffrey James Bowlin, 35, of Leicester, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. Mr. Bowlin was a native of Buncombe Co., and was a son of Elaine Gillespie McCarthy and the late Joseph James "Jimmy" Bowlin. Mr. Bowlin worked for McCarrolls Construction Co. Mr. Bowlin is survived by his wife, Tracy Revis Bowlin; daughter, Autumn Skye Bowlin, of Leicester; sons, Dakota James Bowlin, of Leicester, and Taylor James Bowlin, of Emma; and paternal grandmother, Eleanor Bowlin, of Leicester. A funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Truman Revis and James Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Ross, Billy Bowlin, Sonny Berry, Brooks Burrows, Shane Williams, and Kimble Pratt. His family will receive friends for an hour and a half prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with the funeral expenses.

    I offer my deepest sincere condolences for the loss of Jeff. He always had a heart of gold, a smile or joke, he never knew a stranger. I am proud to have known him.   3. I dont have a single teenage memory that doesnt have Jeff in it. He was my first teenage love, the one that you never forget as long as you live and he always had a very special place in my heart. Jeff was always living life to the fullest when i knew him and i expect that he always did. He had a heart of gold and loved with everything he had to give even though he had personal battles to fight. Jeff loved his mother more than life and I have no doubt that he loved his children, connie, patty and his wife Tracy just the same. Jeff was a good man and im so happy to have the memories that i have of him. I wouldnt trade them for anything. R.I.P Jeff…i love you. <3

  4. I didn’t know Jeff, just as a little boy remember him being full of life, It’s sad when someone so young goes before us, Your family has had it shares of pain and I feel for you all, just so sorry that Jeff has gone, can’t imagine the pain, but you are in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. We are all so sorry about Jeffs’ passing. He lived each day to the fullest here and will spend eternity doing the same in Heaven. He is already surrounded with all the loved ones that were here and and gone on,but most importantly,his Heavenly Father is there and greeted him at the Gates. I know it is so hard to loose our loved ones,but Jimmy,Joe, Bertha,Sonny and all the others are so glad to spend time with Jeff…its’ their turn. We dont always understand the reason that God does things, but know this, your Dad is at peace now.   14. Cody,You know that with the coming of adulthood that one goes through many trials and tribulations. These they say make us stronger as grownups. You are a very mature young man who has already gone through a lifetime of difficulty. You must remember that it is ok to cry, feel sad, and let your feelings out to someone you can trust just as it is ok to be happy and smile. Remember too that God is always ready to listen and he is the one to most trust in. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.

We love you with ALL our hearts and if there were anyway to take away your hurt and sadness we would.As you go threw your life there are going to be times you wish your dad were here, just to tell him about your day or even a new fishing hole you found just remember you will always have him right there in your heart and he will be looking down on you everyday. You are his first son and he was so proud of you and thats why Sunday was so special to him, he had you there with him.
