Resided in: Asheville, North Carolina

We are sad to announce the passing of Jennifer Elizabeth Burke of Asheville, NC. Jennifer died at age 52, on November 4, 2023.

Jennifer passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a lifetime of serious health complications. Jennifer was given a 1% chance to survive infancy, and miraculously she beat the odds proving many medical experts wrong.

Jennifer was born in Nuremberg, Germany on May 15, 1971, to Harry Smith Burke and Margaret Ober Burke. Jennifer attended schools in Maryland and Ohio, before settling in North Carolina, where she graduated from Lucy Herring High School in 1992.

Jennifer’s dream of becoming a productive member of society became a reality after teaming up with Liberty Corners Enterprises. With the support and trust of her family, LCE helped Jen integrate into the working world, developing the skillsets she needed to thrive and to grow intellectually.

A public memorial service for Jennifer’s Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm, November 14th, 2023 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian; 72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704.

In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Liberty Corners, or a charity of your choice in Jen’s name.
