Jerry Dexter Sprouse, 62, of 49 Edgewood Road, Candler, died Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of Lucille Taylor Sprouse of Asheville and the late Zelrow Sprouse. He was employed by Overhead Door for more than 30 years and was a US Army Veteran.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Sprouse is survived by his wife, Vada Jones Sprouse; a son, Gary Sprouse and his wife Brandy of Candler and a brother, David Sprouse of Asheville.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Dennis Thurman officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to the service.

We are so sorry for your loss. I only have fond memories of Jerry. He had suffered so much, and now the Lord will take care of him.
