Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My thoughts and prayers are with Kathleen. Shelia and Mike, Casey and Whitney, Mark and Kelly, Brieanne, Hunter and Scott on the loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and with Bud and Raleigh on the loss of a brother. Jerry will be missed by all of us!

  2. Kathleen, I am so sorry to see that Jerry has died. I remember him from Enka High School and the good times we all had at that school back in the day, May you be comforted today by our loving Savior who comes alongside us when we experience such grief. Praying your many sweet memories will make you smile in the days ahead. Much love, Priscilla Rice Morgan

  3. So sorry, to see that Jerry had passed away. He and my husband(Don) were cattle men. Don, was “amazed” how Jerry could drive his cattle up and over a vastly wooded mountain side, back to his farm when they got out and crossed over to his side of the mountain. He and Don will probably be talking about their farming days when they meet up in Heaven. Condolences go out to the family.

  4. So sorry to hear about Jerry. We all reconnected several years ago when we were enjoying our grandchildren’s ballgames! Our thoughts and prayers are with Kathleen and family.
    Arnold and Mary Joyce Hall

  5. Jerry was a friend of mine growing up in Brooks Cove. He was younger than me but we had great relationship during our lifetime. He was a great guy and I have fond memories of visiting the family during our youth play basketball at the barn with the other Brooks Cove kids, building a swimming hole in the creek below his house and having cornbread and beans for dinner when I could finagle an invitation to dinner. He leaves a big void in all wo knew him.

  6. Prayers ,love and hugs to the family.. Jerry will be missed. He was one of the best neighbors and family friends . Daddy thought the world of Jerry . He always made me feel welcome when I’d be with the family growing up . My heart is sad as we lost a good man .

  7. To the family, I am deeply saddened by Jerry’s death and the grief that you are feeling. I pray for God’s embracing love for you. Continue to look to Him for comfort. He will wipe away all tears from our eyes, and death, suffering, pain and crying will be no more. How comforting to know a resurrection for our loved ones through our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Today and always, may loving memories bring you peace, comfort and strength.

Sending my deepest love and sympathy — Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers,
    Wanda McElrath Stamey
