Jesse Junior Brown

Horse Shoe ~ Jesse “Junior” Brown, 74, of Boylston Highway, Horse Shoe, died Thursday, December 11, 2003 in a local nursing facility. A native of Madison County, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Jesse Raymond Brown and Bonnie Wells Brown and the husband of the late Lena Brown. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Kenneth Brown. Mr. Brown was both a Navy and Army veteran and had worked as a dairy farmer. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include a brother, Leslie Brown and his wife, Irene of Horse Shoe; one nephew and four nieces. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville with Rev. Perry Brindley officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 - 7:30 PM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.
