Jessie Mae Redmon Lewis, 89, formerly of Enka, died on Sunday, October 12, 2008, at Pisgah Manor Nursing Center.
A native of Marshall, Mrs. Lewis was a daughter of the late Berry and Matilda Freeman Redmon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Lee Lewis, who died in 1988; her son, J.B. Lewis; grandson, Rory McCormick; and all of her siblings. Mrs. Lewis was the last of a family of 11.
Mrs. Lewis had retired from American Enka, and was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church.
She is survived her daughter, Leigh Daniels and husband Bill, of Fredericksburg, VA; son, Ray Lewis, of Asheville; grandchildren, Nik, Randy, and Troy Lewis, Delisa Bradley, Tracy Kitchen, and Dan McCormick; and great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Morgan, Kodi and Cameron Lewis, Miranda Kitchen, Alex, Jessica, and Victoria McCormick, and Brianna and Brendon Bradley.
A private interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

So sorry to hear Jessie has passed, may she rest in peace. Please accept our deepest heartfelt sympathy, she was a very sweet lady. Memories of her and Troy will always be with me. May good times and happy moments fill your heart when you think of her.
