Jewel Hudson Evans, 74, of 354 Hookers Gap Road, Leicester, died Thursday, July 11, 2002.
Mrs. Evans was born in Mississippi and was a former nurses assistant.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynda Johnson of Bat Cave; a son, Larry Evans of Leicester; a granddaughter, Tabitha Evans of Weaverville and three brothers.

Jewel was a part of our lives when she worked with us at Interim HealthCare as a nurse assistant. She was such a wonderful and caring person who gave so much to others. She was a joy to work with. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
