TOO MAN YEARS HAVE PASSED SINCE WE SAW JIMMY LAST, BUT WE SHALL NEVER FORGET HIS WARM AND CONTAGEOUS SMILE. I ADMIRE HIM FOR HIS SERVICE TO THIS COUNTRY. HE WAS A FAITHFUL WARRIOR. WE WILL MISS HIM, BUT WILL SEE HIM AGAIN AT THE FEET OF JESUS. ALL OUR LOVE AND PRAYERS TO ALL HIS LOVELY FAMILY.
We were buddies! As brother and sister, Jimmy and I lived a happy, carefree life with our parents, brother Wallis and sister Sue. God bless our precious neice Connie, nephew Jimmy II and Great nephew Aaron. Aunt Betty
I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my prayers. Uncle Jim was a kind man. I have such fond memories of him but most of all I remember that sweet smile of his.
Years and many miles of separation do not ease the sense of loss — Uncle Jim’s kindness and obvious love of family was clearly evident to the eyes of a child, and I always loved him. His family and friends will miss him keenly. Godspeed, Uncle Jim.
I was so sad and disappointed to hear of Uncle Jim’s passing. I am praying for you, Connie and Jim, and the rest of the family. All the memories I have of Uncle Jim growing up are of the most gentle and humble of spirit. He always looked at me and spoke to me so sweetly and caringly and sincerely. I know he will be dearly missed. Even so, I picture in my mind he and Aunt Dot and Jesus running, laughing, and praising God in absolute glory and health.
I am so sad to hear of Uncle Jim’s passing. He will be missed. I have such warm childhood memories of visiting with your family, Connie and Jim. Uncle Jim and Aunt Dot were always so kind. Even though it’s been a long time since I have gotten to visit with you, you are both still very special to me. I pray that God will comfort you during this time.
Years that have passed, can not erase the values, the love and the memories that we have shared in our lifetime which remain within our hearts and minds. The differences in age, nor the distance between us, nor death, can sever the bond within us. We love his family although we have never seen them, and hope that they will find peace within their hearts, knowing that the ones who have gone before Jim, are welcoming him home to a better and happier place without the problems that exists here on earth.
May God Bless you and comfort you!
Your 2nd cousins,
Larry & Sharon Hutchins, Aunt Ruth and Family, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303
Even though your family lived away from the Sevier County area, you were always included as an important part of our family.
Jimmy was special to my mother who had had a baby boy to die soon before he was born. I remember that my mother, Aunt Jean, loved him very much–often bringing about my jealous feelings–Now that I am older and wiser I know how her love went to him after loosing her baby.
I so appreciated Jimmy’s call to tell me of his illness. I reminded him then of the pinches I had given him when my mother, Aunt Jean, would hold him on her lap. Also, I thanked him again for returning to me Uncle Blaine’s,(my father) World War II army trench shovel. His Uncle Blaine had given the shovel to Jimmy after he was discharged from the Army in World War II. Jimmy had kept the shovel all the passing years. He cleaned and polished it with loving care and mailed it to me a few years ago. (I didn’t even know that Jimmy had had the shovel all those years).
I have been so proud of having all your family as an important
part of my extended family.
My love to you. Your cousin Mary Alice Teague
Dear Jim McCall Family,
So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a junior and I was a freshman in SCHS football. Great wit, tall and lanky, laughed alot , joy to be around. Brother Wally was same way. In my school day memories Jim will certainly be missed but certainly remain as my friend, a fun guy and an upperclassman footballer who befriended a young freshman footballer.
On this day, mourn but also celebrate his fine character.
My best to all.
