Jimmy William “Dawg” Ingle, 71, of Candler, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

A native of Washington, DC, Jimmy was a son of the late Calvin Coolidge Ingle, Sr. He was also preceded in death by Diane Ingle, and his brother, Calvin Ingle, Jr.

Jimmy was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved watching NASCAR racing, as well as football and Gunsmoke.

Surviving are his daughters, Jamie Killian, Connie Lipe (Ken), Leslie Wilson (Chancy) and Michelle Ledbetter (Josh); son, Robert Ledford (Tonya); 6 grandchildren, JW Lipe (Keri), Brittany Lipe (Travis), Blake Wilson (Ahnika), Jade Wilson (Alex), McKayla Robinson (Brandon) and Jordan Gannon (Abby); 6 great-grandchildren, Elliot, McKenzie, Adam, Baylee, Demi and Preston; brothers, Waltie Ingle, Bernie Ingle (Kathy) and Carl Ingle (Elaine); sister, Norma Stump; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1 in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
