Aunt Joan, you were such and inspiration to me all my life. Your devotion to Christ and a lifetime of influence on children will live long after you have entered into Paradise. I love you so much!

Joan was a shining light in the lives of all that knew her. The beauty of Jesus could be seen in her smile and actions as she went about making the world a better place. She was a great example in various aspects but especially in the way that she taught many children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. A true matriarch that will be sorely missed.
Years ago, while working with Roland at EA Industries, he spoke often of Mrs. Lunsford, I felt as though I knew her. I am so sorry for your loss, please know each of you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
I wanted to offer my deepest sympathy to Mark and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

David, no one can take away the hurt and grief, but we can let you know we care. Your mom will always be ” Fairview Elementary ” to me. She was a gracious, wonderful lady.

Joan made everyone’s life a little better when she went out of her way to lend a helping hand.
Thank you for the wonderful memories from FES…
Thank you for all the great memories at FEC.
I am so sad to see this news. I have the fondest memories of Joan when I was the school nurse at Fairview. Joan taught me that the “school secretary” was the key to everything and everyone else! And she knew all the children’s families. We shared many times there! My heartfelt condolences. ♥️
Joan was such a wonderful person and so nice to work with while I was at Fairview School. I enjoyed getting to know her and have special memories of our time together. She was such a great cook and always bringing treats to share!! My deepest sympathy to you all. She loved her family so much and talked at length about of all you often. I wish you peace in knowing how many lives she touched at school, her church and in her community.
My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
