JoAnn Hipps Sale, 70, of Asheville, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
Mrs. Sale was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Wiley Furman “Jack” Hipps and Thomasine Morris Hipps. She was a graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School and was a former member of St. George’s Episcopal Church.
Surviving are three children, Steve Sale and his wife, Becky, of Leicester, Terrie Fisher and her husband, Tony, of Candler, and Tracy Honeycutt and her husband, Michael, of Asheville; six grandchildren, Michael Austin, Joey Sale, Lindsey Lyons, Ashley Honeycutt, Bronson Honeycutt, and Brandon Williams; and one sister, Helen Hyatt and her husband, Fred, of Waynesville.
Her family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
Private graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Mike Scroggs at Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Guys im so sorry i wasnt there. she was a great woman and will always be loved. She is at home with Jesus, and it is a much better place than this i will pray for you all.
