John Bailey Gasperson
February 24, 1915 ~ September 3, 1999
Mr. Gasperson was born February 24, 1915 in Buncombe County. He was the son of the late Abraham and Hattie Pressley Gasperson. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a charter member of the Skyland Volunteer Fire Department, a real estate broker and a member of the executive board of Farm Bureau of Buncombe County.
Surviving are his wife, Edith Creasman Gasperson of the home; daughter, Kaye Gasperson Brown; granddaughter, Katrina Brown, and grandson, Craig Brown, all of Arden.
Graveside rites will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Fletcher, North Carolina, with Father Steve Hines of St. Luke's Episcopal Church officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Skyland Fire Department, P. O. Box 640, Skyland, NC 28776.
