His time in Indianapolis was very special to him, enjoying wonderful neighbors, making very dear friends, and becoming a passionate Colts fan.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Garrett Galvin; daughters Erin Larson and Sarah Golemi; sons Kyle T. Galvin, Ted Carpenter, and Michael Mautner; grandchildren Madison Ritt, Brayden Carpenter, Emma Golemi, Charlie Golemi, and Logan Mautner; sisters Delia Ruch and husband Carl, Mary Galvin, Peggy Fouquier and husband Michael, and Virginia Boyle and husband Terry; brothers William "Billy" Galvin, Michael Galvin and wife Barbara, Timothy Galvin and wife Joan, and Kevin Galvin; countless nieces and nephews; and much loved "grandchildren of the heart", Jack, Charlie, Stuart, and Benjamin Gomez.
John loved life every day but especially on his birthday. He was a friend to all, loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

John had found his soul mate. Theresa is a beautiful soul and woman. She loved John and all his family. She is a giving and loving person and I am so blessed that John got to spent his finest years with the amazing woman. May we all may cry, laugh, share, memories of this fun spirited man.
Theresa and all children and brothers and sisters. May the memories the stories help to heal your hearts . May you all continue the love and support for each other during this time. May you feel the prayers of family and friends during this time of healing.
‘Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God, even our Father, which loved us, and hath given us everlasting, consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort hearts, and stablish you in every word and work.
II Thessalonians 2:16, 17
