John R. Kiser

John R. Kiser, 90, of 169 Dogwood Drive, Candler, died Wednesday, May 19, 1999, in an Asheville hospital.
Mr. Kiser was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Conley Lee and Lilly Mae Ledford Kiser. He was the retired owner operator of Asheville Plumbing and Heating Co., and held license number 417. He also owned and operated a dairy farm and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, DeNeale Owen Kiser; three daughters, Elaine Easter of Greenville, and Sandra Johnson and Patricia Kirby of Candler; two sons, John Ralph Kiser, Jr. of Asheville and Samuel Stephen Kiser of Candler; a sister, Dorothy Kiser of Asheville and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank C. Kiser and Arthur G. Kiser.
Graveside services will be at 4:30 pm Saturday at Hice Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Gene King officiating.
His family will receive friends from 2:30 - 4:00 pm Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and request that memorials be made to the Hice Hill Cemetery Fund.
