John Robert North

JOHN ROBERT NORTH, JR. John Robert North, Jr., 65, of 573 Deaverview Road, Asheville, died Sunday, December 21, 2003, at his home. Mr. North was a native of Buncombe County and was a son of the late John Robert North, Sr. and Amanda Lenoa Brown North. He was retired from the City of Asheville Sanitation Dept. Surviving are his wife, Linda Brooks North; two daughters, Terrie North and Tammy North; five sons, Randy North, Ricky North, Jason North, Jerry North and Larry North; two sisters, Janet North and Betty Jean Warf; one brother George Edward North; and thirteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Homer Moore and Bill Higgins officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. Memorials may be made to the Emma Resource Center, 37 Brickyard Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
