John Thomas Kennedy

John Thomas Kennedy, 87, of Biltmore Lake, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Born June 21, 1935 in Lansing, MI, Mr. Kennedy was a son of the late G. Donald Kennedy and Ora Wood Kennedy. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Anne M. Kennedy.

Lt. Kennedy was an Army Airborne Ranger. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, and a master’s degree from Northwestern University. He worked as a chemical engineer with Union Carbide. He held a black belt in Karate, and was a volunteer EMT with Wilton Ambulance Corp.

Surviving is his wife, Jane Perry Kennedy; sons, Timothy and Donald Kennedy; and three grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by The Very Rev. Fr. Roger Arnsparger on Monday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Basilica of St. Lawrence. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
