John William McFee

John William McFee, 79, of 452 Milk Sick Cove Road, Candler, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Dennis C. and Della Warren McFee and was also preceded in death by two sons, Bart McFee and Alan McFee. Mr. McFee was a US Air Force veteran and was retired from Job Corps where he taught carpentry for 15 years. He was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local #312 and Pole Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Olive Jones McFee; daughter, Linda Jones and husband Don; son, Steve E. McFee; three sisters, Mildred Jones, Margie Morgan and Vivian Stephenson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Pole Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating. Burial will follow at Snow Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday at the church prior to the service.
