  37. In life there are folks you become friends/brothers with and as life moves on there is distance that occurs but as I look back over my memories of Jon I know he had one of the biggest hearts around and was living a happy fufilled life. All the great memories I have of being with all the McFadden brothers along with Guy and Mary was that it was a second family to me taking us all in and treating us like their own and that is what I remember the most. Such a tragedy to such great folks.Jon will never be forgotten and all the great times we all shared. Bent Creek should have a national landmark named after the McFadden brothers. We never understand the reasons for something like this but God always has a plan. Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with all of the McFaddens, Melinda, Nick and Devin at this time of a tragic loss.

  38. Jon was always smiling! I got thru high school with him and eventually worked with him years later at ITT. I feel for his kids, Melinda, his parents, siblings and all of his friends. You will be missed Jon… I imagine that Heaven is a lot brighter with Jon to light the way!

I promise I will give the kids enough love from both of us and I will keep your memory alive by making sure they live their life to the fullest just like you.You were one of a kind just like our love for each other.Goodbye my friend i know i will see you again-just don’t stop smiling in heaven! P.S. slayer rules!

  59. I only met jon a few times through mike. He was polite and seemed to be humbled by his life. I will not and can never understand how a family will be able to comprehend the loss of a child. I hope these words will comfort somewhat. I walked softly over the leaves as not to disturbe the silence of my surroundings. One small step could change the outcome of the goal that I was trying to achieve. How does man find what he is looking for in life, when he is asked to walk so softly across the things that are placed before him. Soft steps, just like silent words, make us who we are, for the soft walk is planned, but always falls short of letting others hear our steps that make us who we are. Louis chasteen
