    at Lowe’s (many) years ago.
I was saddened to read of
    Jonathan’s death. I remember your
talking about him when we worked together. Such a nice
    looking young man.
Please know that your family will
    be in my thoughts.

I pray that God blesses you with His peace while He holds you close.

  3. My prayers, along with those of my wife Lane, go out to Jonathan’s family and friends. I thank God for allowing us the opportunity to know him though for only a short time.

  4. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the untimely death of Jonathan. My memories of him go back to when we played little baseball together. I will always remember him as a light-hearted fun loving guy, always smiling. My prayers are with his family and all who got the chance to know him. Keep the faith.
The class of 83′ will always remember him in our hearts.

    Be Encouraged and Be Blessed.

  9. To the Family,
I send my deepest sympathy in your time of lost of a love one.
My name is Anthony Lindsey. Jonathan and I played football together at AHS and I rarely seen him
with a frown on his face. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers.

  10. Jeff and I are absolutely heart-broken to learn of Jonathan’s sudden passing. Like many others signing here, I had known him from childhood. I will always remember those impish eyes (and those pranks they often revealed) and that warm smile he used to make everyone around him feel a little bit brighter. I know that this is NOT a permanent goodbye. Jonathan’s just gone on ahead of us, and we’ll see him later — those impish eyes and that grin from ear to ear. My prayers go out to all of his friends and family.

    God’s Peace, Kim

  11. Dear Precious Mariam and family,
I wrote earlier but not sure it went through. I am so sorry to hear about Jonathan. Blanche Eller e-mailed me and I’m so grateful she kept in touch so I could respond to your loss.
I remember what a darling boy he was and I’m sorry I never knew him as a man; but I’m sure he was like his Mom very sweet spirited and kind. His pictures speaks volumes about him. Please know I am praying for you and the rest of your family during this difficult time. I know the Lord will restore your soul (Ps. 23)…
I will be back in Ga. in Sept. It would be so nice to see you.

    All My Love Deane

  12. Doug, Cindy and Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Jonathon will be greatly missed. I’m sorry about the delay, but I just found out about it.
    God Bless You,

    Bill Looney

  13. I was so sorry to hear of Jonathan’s passing when I returned home from vacation. I am so sorry I could not be at the funeral visitation. Jonathan was my neighbor here in Beaver Lake for 17 years until he moved. His concern for his daughter’s education and well-being were the main things we used to stop at the STOP sign and chat about. My prayers are with his family and daughter at this time.
    Love,
    Jolene

  14. Jonathan was like a son to both of us. He was a very special and loving person. He’s been part of our lives for a very short 8 years.
    We miss him.

  15. We remember Jonathan from many years ago when he was in school with our kids, Stacey and Jonathan.
You have our deepest sympathy, and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

  16. Piercy was truely one of my best friends growing up. All of my good times included him and that’s part of what made them good. I’m sorry that he was called to ‘dodge’ so soon. The news literally buckled my knees. My thoughts are with the family and especially you, Aleah. Jonathan, I’ll see you on the other side old friend.
    Todd

  18. Jonathan was my first real ‘boyfriend’ when we were just young teens. I remember his smile and the number on his football jersey, #77. One of my fondest memories is playng football with other kids in our class at Beaver Lake, riding bikes and just having the biggest crush on Jonathon! I am grateful for having known him and am so sorry to hear of your loss. Jonathon was a gentle soul and he will always have a part of my heart. God Bless you..Suzanna Jayne

  19. Marian and family,

It is so heartbreaking to hear of your loss. Even though I did not know Jonathan as an adult, I remember when you were caring him and talking about him when we worked together at the bank. His picture says so much about him. His kindness shines through and I can see he had your loving soul. His name is beautiful and you may remember we named our son Jonathan too.

I pray all of the family finds comfort in the wonderful memories shared with Jonathan.

Much love, John and Blanche Eller

  20. Sorry about your loss. Met Mr. Piercy a couple of times over the years, introduced by Sheri. Sheri and Van, again, sorry to hear this type of news.

  22. There are few things in life that are quite as precious as that very special person you can call a true friend, the one whom brings a smile to your heart and brightens your world like the one shinning star that stands out in the universe of million. Even though we lived far apart, I never forgot you.

My deepest condolences to the ‘Piercy Family’

  23. So sorry for your loss. Though I barely knew Jonathon, I can still remember my brother Alan ‘? who used to ‘?hang’ with him some growing up – saying what a great guy he was, and that he was the type of person who made life more fun for the people around him. I’m sure those accolades described the rest of his life as well.

I will make a donation to Aleah’s college fund. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

    Dale

  27. Piercy, as he was known to his 83 classmates and good friends, was what friends are meant to be, trusting, fun to be with, and always looking for a way to help out. So many of my BEST memories from high school would not be memories at all, if not for him. He will be missed by all of us.

  28. It has taken a long time for me to come to terms with your passing. I have loved you all my life and will continue to love you. We shared many, many things together. I went my way and you, yours. We never lost that bond. I look at your picture often and think of you more often. I want you to be at peace, you deserve so much more. I pray for you and I know in my heart that I will see you again. You are with people you love and I hope my mother, who loved you so. Please tell her I love and miss her. I miss and love you Jonathan. I want everyone to remember the kind, always giving, loving person you are. Your eyes shined as a father…because you loved your little girl more than you loved your own life. I miss you so much. I will always love you Jonathan.
    Tammy

I was not able to attend Jonathans funeral, but my thoughts and prayers have not left him or your family since I heard of this tragedy. Jonathan was a special person to me in Jr. High and High School. We were having a conversation one time at school and he told me that ‘when he got older, he wanted to build a house for his mom that was big enogh for all his family to live and be together.’ I have never forgotten this – I thought it was so wonderful. He loved you all so much. I had not seen Jonathan in a long time, but have wondered about him and thought of him from time to time. 41. Dear Marian & Family:
I am still in shock at the news of Jonathan’s death. I have thought of you all often and you have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard the news. How could you not love Jonathan? That mischevious smile, followed by the unmistakable laugh. He definitely lived life without reservation and was a true friend to those who took the time to get close to him. He will be deeply missed.

  44. I am truly in shock to hear about Jonathan, it was only a few weeks ago when another classmate told me that she saw him at the grocery store playing around with the shopping carts! I told her that ‘yes, that sounds like something Jonathan would do’! Jonathan will be truly missed and may God bless his family.

  45. Piercy Family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jonathan. Please know that he was the life of AHS, Class of 1983. I hated that fact that I could not attend his service but was told that our class was represented well. I did have the pleasure of meeting Aleah. That was due to the fact that almost every time I ran into Jonathan, she was always with him. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
    Rest in Peace Jonathan….
