Joseph (JoJo) Harold Whitaker, 28, of Whitt Lane, Fairview, died Friday, June 7, 2013.
Mr. Whitaker was a native of Buncombe Co. He worked as an electrician for M.B. Haynes, and attended Faith Chapel.
He is survived by his parents, William (Bill) Whitaker and Ruby Frizsell Owen; step-mother, Merrie Whitaker; paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Whitaker; sister Kayla Whitaker; and brother Billy Whitaker. He was preceded in death by step-father Wayne Owen, maternal grandmother Georgia Joyce, and paternal grandfather Fred Whitaker.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Rev. Gene West officiating. Interment will follow at Cane Creek Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.

I am so sorry to hear that Joe has left this earth at so young of an age. I can still remember being at the hospital waiting for his birth.
