I have only the fondest memories of my time spent with you, from the earliest of times when you lived with us, when you came to stay with us and we ALWAYS laughed with you. Not only a great husband, father, brother and friend but the Best Uncle. Holding us tight for big hugs, drying our tears and loving us no matter our faults. The miles distanced us, but your love spread across thousands of miles to touch our hearts. You are and will remain in my heart and my life until we meet again. You took a part of me with you, but left so much love behind. Your loving niece, Teri

Aunt Dee, Machelle, Joey and Trent I pray for you all and send my love.

  30. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family members. Joe – or as we called him ‘Smiley’ – was a kind man who always had a smile or laugh to share. And who could forget the sausage at Christmas! His kind heart and deeds will live on through his family.

  31. When I came to Asheville at such a young age and had no one in the world, God placed Machelle in my path and I acquired a Family away from home – Joe, Dee, Little Joe and Trent. I have the most wonderful memories of Joe’s laughter while cooking out on the deck at River Bend and eating homemade ice-cream. And I will never forget his gift of tires for my ailing station wagon, oh what joy!. This was just one of the many small displays of kindness and generosity from any individual that to this day, I can remember. A light has gone from this world, but a great star now shines in the heavens. Dee, Machelle, Joey, Trent and Brea – you have my deepest sympathy. Love and Hugs.

  32. To Big Princess, Machelle, Joe, Trent, and Breea. You all are in my thoughts and prayers; my heart breaks for you during this sad and difficult time. I pray that our Father in heaven continues to watch over you as He comforts you and gives you strength. Love you so much. Little Princes.

  33. There are few who are truly our friends. We have many acquaintences. Joe was my friend.

May his faith ease his family’s pain.
