Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Lori and Tammy,

I came across your mother’s memorial just today. It seems that we are entering a new and painful time as the generation before us begins to erode.

Your mom was a wonderful person, and I never had a converstation with her that did not end up with a chuckle. I liked her a bunch.

I enjoy reflecting on the memories at Francis Asbury. We will do well to pass those experiences on to our children.

    Respectfully,

    Tony Brown

  9. Dear ones:
We are saddened at the passing of Joyce, but rejoice with you over her abundant entrance into Glory and in the knowledge that her suffering is now over and that she is in the presence of the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8). You have so many precious memories and the Lord will comfort you with them. I am sorry I am not able to be with you due to surgery last week, but you are in our prayers. Much love, Paul, Betty and Susan Phil.4:13,19

  10. I was privilaged to get to know your mother during her several stays at Park Ridge. She was a delightful person with a wonderful attitude despite her health problems. I did enjoy those times I was lucky enough to be the one to take care of her. She enriched my life in those few short minutes. I know you will miss her terribly. Cherish the memories and know you were all well loved.

  11. Keith, Tami, Rodney, Leslie and kids

  12. I was so sad when Bob read the notice of Joyce to me. What fond memories flooded my soul of you girls and your great Mom. We had so much fun together. I will never forget Ricky trying to build up his shoes to wear to the dance with Lori. You girls were always so close with your Mother. A beautiful sight to see. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love Sandra

  13. I REGRET I COULD NOT JOIN FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO SAY GOODBYE TO MY DEAR, DEAR FRIEND. JOYCE ANN WAS MY FIRST FRIEND WHEN ENTERING VANCE SCHOOL IN 3RD GRADE. I TOOK HER HOME THE FIRST DAY, AND INTRODUCED HER TO A LITTLE BOY THAT LIVED UP THE STREET, NAMED BUDDY NEELY.
MY TRIP TO ASHEVILLE EACH JULY, ALWAYS WAS TO SPEND THE DAY WITH JOYCE AND WE WOULD CATCH UP WITH THE WHOLE YEAR. I WILL TRULY MISS THIS. I AM GLAD SHE IS NOT SUFFERING, AND IS WITH OUR LORD. I AM HONORED TO HAVE HER FOR MY FRIEND
MY LOVE TO TAMI, LORI. LESLIE, AND YOUR WONDERFUL FAMILY.

  14. We are sorry to hear about your mother’s death. Joyce was a wonderful neighbor and friend. She will be remembered fondly for her beautiful smile and happy go lucky style. She would often pull through our yard in the summer when we were working outside and before long she would have us laughing. She was an inspiration. We will surely all miss her. Our prayers are with you.
    Love, Wayne & Dewena Garren
