Bessie: Sorry to hear about your daughter passing. Will remember you in my prayers. May God Bless the Family. Jean Smith
Joyce was a second mom to my son Philip for four years before his death. She was so very wonderful and did treat all her little ones as their second mom. Philip loved her and thought Joyce’s Philip was the best. He was a teenage when Joyce kept my son. I trusted Joyce with my son completely. Our thoughts and prayers are with you the family. God Bless you.

I’m so sorry to hear about Joyce, she helped raised Banjo. I don’t know what I would have done with out her. She was very loving to all the children and Banjo loved going over there. I wish peace and wonderful memories for all your family thru this difficult time.
Phillip, Joe & Lane,
Our family prays for yours at this time of loss. Your mother was always good to all the kids in the church.

Dear Lane, Philip and Joey:
How many good memories we have from down through the years. Our families have shared the growing up years, through all the good times and bad times. Joyce leaves many many good friends, and memories. We often commented what a good job she did raising three fine young men and you will be her legacy.
Please know our sadness that Joyce is no longer with us. God loved the little children, as did Joyce. We shall greatly miss her.
Joyce was a wonderful person and I loved her dearly. She was a great inspiration in my life and she will be missed by me and many others. Know that God is with you in this time of grief and that he has taken her home to join him. May God Bless you all.
I remember Joyce as the #1 advocate for youth & children. When I had the blessing of serving with her I could always count on her love for them to be a voice on their behalf. We laughed much, disagreed very little, worked hard, & she got me hooked on Longaberger baskets! I celebrate that she now rests in peace & no longer suffers from her physical ailments. I pray her family finds joy in knowing the many lives she touched & the love with which she will be remembered. ‘Well done, good & faithful servant …’
On behalf of my wife and family, I express my condolences on your loss.
Jay and Delores,
My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. I wish you the best and my God be with you in your time of need.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. We will keep you all in our hearts and prayers.
MSG Johnson,
I’m was real sorry to hear about your mother. I realize that words of mine will ease the pain of losing a loved one. I know that while you were working at BN you always seemed to go above and beyond to help others with packet issues etc. I just wish I could return the favor. If there is anything you need don’t hesitate. Again I’m sorry.
Words could never express all that Joyce gave to so many people I am thankful for the privilige of knowing her and working beside her for so many years I Loved her dearly and so did my family
Jesus loves the little children and so did Joyce! She will be so missed by the many whose lives she has touched-especially by all the little children she ‘raised’ who, in the later years, lovingly called her ‘Mammy’. She was such a caring lady whose main priority was always the children…especially her beautiful grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.
It’s so hard to believe that Joyce is no longer with us on this earth! We are comforted, though, knowing that she is dancing and singing and playing in heaven with all our loved ones who have gone before us-what a wondrous place it must be! What a glorious day it will be when we are all reunited in that mansion in the sky!!
My condolences on the passing of your mother.
Bessie, sorry about your lost.
Lane, Phillip, Joe and families,
How very sad we are to learn of the death of ‘one of the good ones.’ For that, indeed is what Joyce was…one of the truly servant ‘saints’ who served without any expectation of anything coming to her in return. But to think of the many lives that she blessed in her years of service to others is a true legacy of which you should all be very proud.
From the days of helping your Mom with Cub Scouts…when you guys were young…to seeing her take care of all of the kids of West Asheville and especially the church that she loved brings comfort at this time.
I remember a Mother’s Day a number of years ago when Dee Dee’s son Robert died…Who was the first one on the scene to ‘give us all our marching orders’….Joyce!
The world has lost a true friend but heaven is rejoicing at the entry of another saint.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in your time of loss.
