Mrs. Hall was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Ralph and Sophie Blair Hollar. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Licovitch and Frances Warren and two brothers, Harry Hollar and Paul Hollar. She was a member of Emmanual Lutheran Church.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband, G. Elwood Hall; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Steve Roberson of Asheville and Karen and Larry Davis of Alexander; two sisters, Catherine Raymer of Asheville and Fay Brock of Liberty, SC; five brothers, Lee Hollar of Fletcher, Henry Hollar of Asheville, Ray Hollar of Weaverville, Ralph Hollar of Decatur, GA, and Larry Hollar of Candler; and four grandchildren, Crystal and Chad Roberson, Brian Davis and Candice Quinley and her husband Gabe; one great-grandson, Cameron Quinley, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10:30 am Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Nieting officiating.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 51 Wilburn Place, Asheville, NC 28806 or to the Asheville Kidney Center, 10 McDowell Street, Asheville, NC 28801.
