Judith Ann Spataro Ownbey, 76, of Fletcher, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at her residence.

A native of Maryland, Judith was a daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Rowan Spataro.

Judith was proud Vietnam Veteran, having served her country in the US Air Force. She spent most of her life after she left the Air Force loving and raising her three daughters. She enjoyed early morning calls and spending time with her lifelong friends, Atlas Fox, Barbara Taylor Parker, her sister-in-law, Georgia Koeth and many others. She also enjoyed gardening and working any kind of puzzle.

Judith is survived by her three daughters, Rhonda Johnson of Charleston, SC, Fonda Bravo of Asheville and Tonya Ownbey of Fletcher; one brother, Steve Spataro of Frostburg, MD; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
