JUDY L. CARVER Judy Louise Banks Carver, 53, of 60 Israel Road, Candler, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2001 after an extended illness. She was born on March 7, 1948 to Dorothy Mae Ward Banks of Asheville and the late Francis E. Banks who passed away in 1952. She was also preceded in death by a daughter in 1970, Donna Sue Carver; a sister, Mabel Ollis; and three brothers, Richard, Burnice and Carl Banks. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Billy Carver; a daughter, Angela Holloway and her husband Robert of Candler; a son, Christopher Banks and his wife Amy of Granite Falls, NC; a sister, Margaret R. Norris of Asheville; two brothers, Herman E. Banks of Swannanoa and Alan F. Banks of Asheville; four granddaughters and three grandsons. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Chuck Waldrup officiating. Burial will follow at Baverdam Free Will Baptist Church. Her family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of Rosie Carver, 60 Israel Road, Candler.

When MEDALS for MOTHERS awards are handed out, you will win first prize. Its been 26 years since you and I worked at the old Swannanoa Cleaners, what a pleasure it was to work with you.
