Julia Frisbee Roberts, 90, of New Leicester Highway, Leicester, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in an Asheville hospital. Mrs. Roberts was born in Madison County and was a daughter of the late John and Mollie Stanley Frisbee. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, growing and sharing her flowers. Surviving are her husband, Raymond H. Roberts; a daughter, Mary R. Taylor and her husband William of Fletcher; two sons, Harold Roberts and his wife Ellen and Kenneth Roberts and his wife Annette, all of Leicester; two brothers, Glenn Frisbee and Richard Frisbee and his wife Mary, of Leicester; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Perry Brindley officiating. Burial will be at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted and appreciated or memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
