June Davis O'Connor

June Davis O'Connor, 88, of Asheville, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Wendall and Bessie Benfield Davis. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Davis. Mrs. O'Connor worked as a bookkeeper, and she attended Trinity Baptist Church of Asheville. She is survived by a son, Michael O'Connor (Donna); a daughter, Carol Dymond; grandchildren Joshua O'Connor, Leah O'Connor Cole (Jason), Nathan O'Connor (Stacy), Jason O'Connor (Jessica), Caleb O'Connor, Matt Dymond (Cindy), and Dena Dymond Anders (Leonard); great-grandchildren Tyler Anders, Katlyn Anders, Bryton Cole, Eden Cole, Ethan O'Connor, Lucas O'Connor, Braylin Walker, Zane Walker, Alivia O'Connor, Kayla Anders, Josiah and Allie Dymond; and close friends Evelyn Robinson and Joan Banks. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Chapel at Trinity Baptist Church of Asheville, with the Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the Chapel at Trinity Baptist Church. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
