Resided in: Candler , NC

Justin Phillip Butt, 28, entered into rest on Saturday August 26, 2023.

Justin was the son of Phyllis Clay Butt and David Warren Butt. In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his sister, Jordan Butt and partner, Tyler Fitzgerald; Justin’s twin brother, Jared M. Butt and partner, Megan Navarrete; beautiful twin niece and nephew, Mason and Emerie Butt; step-father Buzzy Plemmons; step-siblings, Shannon Hallowell, Jesse Plemmons and Sarah Kaplan; grandmother, Marjorie C. Clay; aunt, Debi Clay Rice and her daughter; and cousin, Ryan Whittington and family. He is also survived by his partner of 11 years, Kaitlyn Smith.

He was born and raised in Asheville. Justin worked as an automation Technician with Linamar Corporation.

Justin will forever be known for his kindness and open outlook on life. He had a golden heart, an incredible mind and a deep inherent soul. He really took it upon himself to take care of the ones he loved. He was always someone you could count on. Justin made every person he knew better just by knowing and being around him. He didn’t laugh easily but when he did, you never wanted it to stop. He had the kind of joy that, when he did let it show, the world was brighter for it.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday September 3, 2023 at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Avenue at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation following until 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners Hospital and the ASPCA would be greatly appreciated.
