Karen Hope Dale McCulloch, 65, of Waters Cove Rd., Candler, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late George and Jessie Edney Dale. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene McCulloch. Mrs. McCulloch was a career nurse with Mission Hospital, with over 30 years of caring for others. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. McCulloch is survived by her sons, Chris McCulloch and wife Andrea, Chad McCulloch, and Kyle McCulloch and wife Krissy; and grandchildren Ben and Jessica. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Oak Hill United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joe Tarpley officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.

Dear Boys & Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom .Karen and I had a lot of history when we were young my Mother would take us to school in the morning and Jessie her Mom would pick us up . I spent a lot of fun times with her family as she was the only child and could get her Dad George to just about do anything for her he was one of the sweetest men I have ever known ,and always had a pocketful of change that Karen and I would use for a lot of candy and drinks at the store we would ride our bikes to the store,and Jessie, Karen Mom did not like her being so spoiled she would say , but we were just kids playing games and riding bikes having fun ,I will miss her we have so many memories ,Sorry I did not know about the viewing I was out of town
