Miss Katherine,
You will forever be in our hearts. You were the best of friends to my grandmother and grandfatherMr and Mrs. Bob Sluder, being their neighbor for many years and friends much longer. You embraced all of us grandchildren with open arms and a warm heart. We shall never forget your kindness over the years, the prayers you sent up for each of us and all the tears you shed wishing us well. God Bless you Miss Katherine, the world lost a wonderful woman and heaven just gained an Angel.
She was one of the greatest!
Some of my fondest memories of growing up in Candler have to do with Katherine Case and the bookmobile She came once a month and would ‘save’ books that she thought I would like. We would have to check out many books to last for the whole month. She was always pleasant and nice to everyone. She and my Mother who died last March went to see the Tourists play ball as often as they could. Thanks for the memories of someone who helped a country girl enjoy books.
Our deepest sympathy
What a wonderful character! Always smiling and joking with everyone she came in contact with. She was one of my favorite customers at First Union, West Asheville, she even managed to find me when I had to work in different offices for a little help balancing that checkbook. She always made me the best cakes. What a thoughtful person she was. My sympathy to her niece Frances and nephew Harold. She will be missed by all. I will always have fond memories of her. She was a special Lady!!
She was one of our dearest ‘back door’ neighbors and customers at B&B Pharmacy from the day we first opened the doors for business. God Bless!
