KATHLEEN COONAN LINER Swannanoa – On Monday, July 25, 2011 Kathleen C. Liner, 90, passed away at her granddaughter's home on Bee Tree Road. A native of Emmetsburg, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Coonan and Clara Reedy Coonan. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Chauncey Liner who passed away in 1973. She worked as an executive secretary for 32 years for the US Forest Service. Surviving are three sons, Larry Liner and wife Debbie of Candler, Don Liner and wife Marsha of Marietta, GA, and Thomas J. Liner of Asheville; three grandchildren Rebecca Moore and husband Scott of Asheville, Victoria Mathewes and husband Brandon and Amanda Beckner and husband Ricky all of Charleston, SC, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a special daughter-in-law Barbara Bauguess. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Basilica of St. Lawrence by The Rev. Father C. Morris Boyd. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home, East Asheville, 856 Tunnel Road.
