Kathleen Caldwell Steelman, 67, died Monday, September 14, 2015, at the CarePartners Solace. Mrs. Steelman was a native of Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Kennie and Alma Davis Caldwell, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Caldwell. She had formerly worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher with Eliada Home. Surviving are her husband, William Howard Steelman; daughter, Angela Patrice Steelman (Mark); sisters, Geri Gryder, Donna King, Shirley King (David), Patsy Rogers and Diana Howell (Danny), and a brother, Keith Caldwell (Jennifer). Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. David King officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Always a kind word to make this nerves mama feel lots better, it was my honor to know her , I loved staying and talking with her. Please know that she made such a diffence in so many lives.     I remember seeing Kathy several times through mom working with you and Thom, she was such a lovely lady and even after all these years I can remember her smile. Both of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
