Mills River – Mary Kathleen McNelly, 74, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville.
A native of Rockwood, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Melvin "Sidney" and Avis Byrd Mee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ardell McNelly, Jr.
Kathleen is survived by her three children; Patricia (Larry) Stevens of Mills River, Edward McNelly of Arden and William (Vanessa) McNelly of Columbia, S.C.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elizabeth House, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
