Kathryn Rebecca “Casey” Taylor Brooks, 90, of 11 North Bear Creek Drive, Asheville, died Friday, May 2, 2003, in an Asheville hospital. Mrs. Brooks was a daughter of the late William and Carrie Smith Taylor and was married to the late Harry Brigman Brooks. She was also preceded in death by brothers, William Taylor, Carter Taylor, Aura Taylor, Porter Taylor and Robert Taylor and sisters, Eva McIntosh, Partha Clark, Lois O’Kelley and Inez Ward. She is survived by a special nephew whom she loved dearly, Terry Ward, and special nieces Ronda Wilson and Janice Ammons; and a special great nephew Norman Dale Wilson, III. The family wishes to give special thanks to Paul LeBree, Regina Stephens and Sonya Banks for their care. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. E.W. Hollifield officiating. Her family will receive friends from 7 - 9 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral home on Patton Avenue.
