Kenneth Eugene King, 44, of Leicester, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Madison Manor. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of William Ray King and his wife Carolyn, and Joyce Annette Franklin Justus and step-father Jerry Justus, and mama, Lois King, all of Leicester. Mr. King was a plumber by trade and attended South Turkey Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, survivors include a daughter, Wendy; granddaughter Emily; sisters, Debra Parsley, Reta Hendrix and Cyndi Radford; brothers, Danny, Wally, Bill, Randy and Ricky King, all of Leicester, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at South Turkey Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Melvin Teague officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemtery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madison Manor Nursing Home, 345 Manor Road, Mars Hill, NC 28754.

  1. I am very sorry for the loss of Kenny yet I am greatful that I was able to know him and to care for him while he was a Madison Manor. Kenny will be greatly missed by many people there. He was loved dearly and we all enjoyed getting him to grin when we were providing care for him. The family is in my prayers and I know that Kenny is happy and free now.
